- Echo Ultrasound Tech with the ability to use ultrasonic equipment in various modes to perform diagnostic sonography examinations to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, functional and pathological data.
- Perform diagnostic procedure, produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or another ultrasound.
- Prepare preliminary ultrasound report for physicians, Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test result.
- Maintains and calculates equipment to ensure accuracy of results.
- Explain procedure to patients so that they are well informed regarding the examination.
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Assists with transporting patients to and from the exam room.
- Bachelor's degree plus
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographer
- 1+ years' experience as a Cardiology Tech
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or must be registry eligible.
- Current BLS.
- Should be able to complete imagines using a GE Vivid IQ. Needs to be familiar with using Ultralinq software.
