- Curate, analyze, and leverage quantitative and qualitative data and relevant research to develop effective strategies, processes, or plans to address the needs of diverse student and staff populations.
- Support strategic direction and timeline of the department’s equity and community inclusion priorities.
- Work effectively with leadership, colleagues, and community members to enhance LEDE outcomes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and serve as an advocate with colleagues, partners, and communities to meet the department goals and objectives.
- Remain abreast of adjustments and shifts in the field of supplier diversity and assist in refinements of district strategy.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars when requested from department leadership for the purpose of conveying/gathering information required to perform job functions and/or maintaining relationships within organization and community.
- Assist department leadership in maintaining department budget and fiscally responsible practices.
- Guide department leaders in Curriculum & Instruction and Business & Operations in identifying potential LEDE opportunities.
- Plan and implement LEDE vendor fairs to support contracting outcomes.
- Develop ongoing recruitment, training, and development opportunities for LEDE vendors.
- Develop and/or leverage partnerships and collaborations with other community agencies/organizations to increase the identification of LEDE vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or an equivalent field.
- Five or more years of related work experience.
- Willing to obtain a Contract Administrator Certification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to promote the district’s equity and community inclusion policy positively and effectively to district employees, local business owners, community groups, governmental agencies, and others (i.e., ability to reflect, adapt, and position oneself as a learner).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively address issues in a tactful, courteous, and respectful manner.
- Must have proficient computer literacy and electronic file sharing skills.
- Demonstrated success leading vendor diversity initiatives.
- Knowledge of local community organizations and businesses.
- Demonstrated success in community partnerships and engagements.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with and understanding the needs of culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
- Evidence of considerable knowledge and practice in leading and engaging in effective collaborations.
- Excellent skills developing, presenting, facilitating, and evaluating professional development workshops and learning opportunities.
- Effective in engaging and leading difficult conversations and challenging topics with all interested parties.
- Excellent ability to adhere to district and department policies and directives.
- Ability to manage multiple high-level projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to visualize and understand systems, levers for change and think strategically about complex issues.
- Tools/Equipment Use: Desktop PC with keyboard and mouse, laptop, scanner, calculator, software, desk, and adjustable chair.
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying (less than 10 pounds)
- Environment: Works in an office setting; may require occasional irregular hours and/or prolonged hours.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
- Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions.
