Job Summary/Description:
KKCO-KJCT is hiring for the position of Local and Digital Sales Manager to manage a high-performing marketing sales team that caters to local businesses on the Western Slope. This team is responsible for meeting & exceeding revenue goals for the station through sales of marketing campaigns and ad placements on various platforms including traditional TV, streaming TV, social media platforms, search engines, and more. The goal of this team is to be a one-stop-shop for marketing for local businesses by providing marketing guidance, creative production, and placement on the best platforms to reach the right audience at the right time with the right message.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Has experience leading and managing a team that is performance-based – or – experience working on a performance-based team as a top performer
• Has experience in the marketing industry
• Has a strong ability to lead the team in developing new local direct business with an emphasis on digital
• Ability to create and present advertising strategies and ideas for local businesses incorporating TV, online, and digital mediums
• Ability to serve as the in-market expert for digital marketing and media
• Is interested in learning about new marketing trends and strategies
• Has the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at one time
• Takes initiative to recognize a need and come up with a solution without being asked
• Can communicate goals and expectations clearly, hold staff accountable for those goals & expectations, and provide resources & guidance to help staff meet goals & expectationsQualifications/Requirements:
• Has experience in public speaking and/or presenting information to business decision-makers
• Strong leadership skills are a must. Has experience training new hires and training & developing current employees
• Enjoys working on a team and being a resource for team members
• Enjoys working with technology and on computers
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office Products like Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Is adaptable and willing to try new methods and strategies to help the team accomplish goals
