Localisation Project Manager - LATAM - remote-based - (PST)

This role involves independent management of the assigned products as well as the development and/or execution of the diverse initiatives on the account, with reporting back to the Production Managers. This role requires a professional with a problem-solving mindset able to shape and execute the assigned initiatives independently, as a part of a larger team or by leading a dedicated team towards the final goal.

The team works as a global team, with project management support covering all time zones. There are hundreds of linguists who are dedicated specifically to this program.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• On time and high quality delivery of the projects as per client’s needs
  
• Leading initiatives as assigned by Program and Senior Project Managers, and ensuring successful completion
  
• Assistance in training co-workers and new hires as requested
  
• Ability to find answer to problems, excellent problem solving skills
  
• Work with Senior Managers and Senior Project Managers to document and implement improvements to internal and client processes with focus on the project management industry standards
  
• Thorough sense of ownership and responsibility for the work you do and resolving issues thoroughly and quickly
  
• Primary point of contact for client on specific aspects of the program and production escalations for assigned product verticals
  
• Ensuring regular checks of high visibility projects/program assets to address issues proactively
  
• Working with internal and client specific applications in a technical environment
  
• Troubleshooting of internal and client specific tools
  

The candidate must have/be:

• Self-motivated, process driven, problem solving individual interested in streamlining and improving program assets
  
• Ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment
  
• Understanding/experience working with more than one language/culture and with remote co-workers and vendors
  
• Previous Localization Project Management experience, 5+ years or equivalent experience in Project Management in technical industries (IT area, engineering environments, game/app development)
  
• Experience in direct client facing interactions
  
• Large client experience (Fortune 500 is a plus)
  
• Strong presentation and communication skills
  
• Professional maturity and negotiation skills
  
• High-Level user experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Calendar
  
• Fluent in English
  
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing (English) and face-to-face online.
  
• Technical proficiency working with and troubleshooting different computer platforms, tools and ability to understand proprietary systems.
  
• DTP and video localization experience is a must
  
• Ideally, the candidate will have/be:
  
• Experience with Google online tools such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc
  
• Experience with Memsource or similar CMS tools
  
• Flexibility with working hours as required
  
• Experience in documenting processes
  
• Experience working in a quality certified environment (ISO, etc.)
  
• Positive attitude, a drive to succeed, and team spirit
