      Job summary

      Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have a Trust FY2 grade post available working in our busy A&E Department, Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This FY2 grade post is to support the Resident doctor and consultant team. This post will provide excellent experience in Emergency Medicine.This post is for a full time position, Fixed Term Contract for 12 months. Starting July 2025.All Applications MUST hold a FULL GMC registration with Licence to Practice in the UK.Please note: We anticipate this post to be extremely popular with a large number of applications.       Main duties of the job

      The Emergency Department (ED) is at the centre of the acute work of all Trusts. Emergency Medicine specialists are responsible for assessing and resuscitating patients with serious illness and injuries before their transfer to hospital wards or operating theatres. Other patients are assessed, treated and sent home for follow up and ongoing care with their General Practitioner.

      Typical duties may include:

      1. Resuscitation and initial management of emergency cases in a team.
      2. Management of other patients presenting to the ED
      3. Admission of patients to inpatient teams for further management.
      4. Admission of patients to the AOU, their ongoing management, discharge and referral when necessary.
