      Job summary

      The appointment is for a 12-month fixed term 10 PA Locum Consultant Gynaecologist with an interest in 2WW management. The post is based at St Michael's Hospital with a day each week in Weston General Hospital.

      You will join a cohesive and friendly team of 40 Consultants and Associate Specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology. The appointee will be an experienced gynaecologist with who has completed the RCOG benign Gynae ATSM. Additional ATSMs complementary to the existing department would be welcomed. The appointee will be an experienced gynaecological surgeon, and expertise in minimal access surgery is essential. A demonstrable track record in managing diagnostic pathways for suspected gynaecological cancer is essential, and commitment to research is desirable.

      The post includes 2WW clinics and general gynaecology clinics, a lead coordinator role and referral triage time for 2WW management, and operating lists at St Michael's Hospital and Weston General Hospital. There is a non-resident (1 in 15) on call covering gynaecology only.
