Interview is to be scheduled for 1st May 2025
We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon on a full time 12 month fixed term.
The post holder will actively provide and support the further development of excellent Breast surgery service for the Trust, working in collaboration with clinical colleagues in all disciplines to provide an integrated service for patients.
The post is 7.5 sessions devoted to direct clinical care and 1.5 SPA sessions to support CDP, audit, teaching and training and 1 SPA lead role. The role is working across both sites at Coventry and Rugby. There is no on-call committment to this post.

Main duties of the job
Outpatients: This post will have a weekly outpatient session across UHCW and St Cross
Theatre Sessions:A weekly all day theatre session will be undertaken and there will be an expectation to work flexibly to provide cross cover for sessions during consultant absence.
Management and Administrative: Undertake administrative duties associated with the care of their patients and the running of clinical areas. Contribute to the effective leadership and management of the team encouraging constructive feedback and challenge from all involved. Produce and support solution-focused decisions based on fact and not anecdote through recognising the value of involving different professional contributions, applying your knowledge appropriately. Demonstrate financial awareness and understand the impact of you and your team's decisions. Delegate tasks effectively and appropriately with realistic expectations of others.Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
Clinical Audit and Governance: The post holder will have an objective team approach to and participation in the Specialty's efforts to monitor and improve standards and critical incident whilst actively supporting evidence-based guideline implementation.
