Job summary
This is a combined Obstetrics and Gynaecology post. The post holder will be expected to be actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the directorate and the trust including risk management and CNST.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover labour ward on a rotational basis along with ante-natal and general gynaecology clinics.
The post holder will provide expert input to cases within the central delivery suite that deviate from the normal. To provide risk analysis and management plans for all cases that require specialist input.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to:-
Provide ante-natal clinics.
Provide general gynaecology service.
Provide a service for 2ww and gynae-oncology patients.
Cover on call for Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also prospective cover.
Actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the directorate and the trust including risk management and CNST.
Take up leadership roles within the directorate and play an active role in the operational and strategic management of the department
Provide leadership and participate in Clinical Audit programmes.
