Job summary
We are pleased to welcome applications for a Fixed Term Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry post (4 PA's) in the Ealing Child and Family Team (CFT), West London NHS Trust CAMHS. This is for 1 year fixed term post in the first instance pending substantive recruitment to the same post. There is the possibility of increasing the number of PA's.
The West London NHS Trust's Child and Adolescent Mental Health services have a history of innovation. We are currently embedding Youth Ambassadors in all services to ensure co-production and continue to develop innovative services to enhance the crisis pathway.
Ealing CAMHS has four specialist community teams - a child and family team, an adolescent team (including EIP), a Neurodevelopmental Team and a Learning disability team. Trust-wide CAMHS Crisis, Eating Disorder, DBT and Under-5 Services support the core CAMHS offer.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job would be to offer consultant psychiatry input in the CFT Team. There is a strong emphasis on medical leadership in our services. Consultants work closely with heads of discipline and managers to deliver excellent assessment and treatment options for children and young people with emphasis on responsive, individually tailored, patient-centred delivery of care. There is considerable opportunity for professional growth.
The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.
