ABOUT US Located in one of the most remote regions of Western Australia, our exclusive eco lodges are part of our fully escorted 4WD wilderness adventures or a special somewhere to stay during self-drive holidays. With three lodges strategically positioned, the role of the Lodge Host is to ensure our luxury lodges continue to provide an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service that is personalised, intimate and welcoming. The lodges combine glamour and camping (glamping) allowing guests to experience five star treatment while they sleep under a million stars. Running like a mini hotel the lodges offer an ensuite in each glamp, three-course dinners each night, BBQ and breakfast buffet and an outback bar. The role of the Lodge Host is to ensure our luxury lodges continue to provide an unwavering commitment to an exceptional customer experience that is personalised, intimate and welcoming. ABOUT THE ROLE The key to the Lodge Host role is flexibility and practicality; you will work across the lodge playing the role of Food and Beverage Attendant, Housekeeper, Maitre D, Laundry attendant, Co-guide, Evening Guide and Maintenance Officer. The role involves but not limited to the following: * Host guests during their stay, including breakfast and dinner service, bar service, kitchen duties and assistant tour guide (as required) * Clean and maintain guest accommodation and public areas to a high standard * Wash, dry and fold lodge linen * Prepare guest lunches and assist tour guide for activity days (as required) * Ensure the safety of all staff and guests and comply with OHS legislation * Working a 21 day on and 7 day off roster * Commencing immediately (season runs April-September 2024) - preference will be given to those committed to working the entire season REQUIREMENTS You must have * or preference will be given if you have one or all of the following or willing to obtain certification prior to commencing: * Basic Food Safety Certificate * Current First Aid Certificate * Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (WA or nationally recognised) or WA Approved Managers ticket ***This role requires you to have access to a reliable 4WD vehicle for the duration of your employment (for travelling to and from the lodge on RDO’s)*** To be successful, you will bring: * Resilience to live remotely in the middle of nowhere, where you don’t have your normal creature comforts * Experience working in the Food and Beverage industry or Customer Service environment * A passion for customer service and ability to anticipate the needs of our guests * An ability to effectively problem solve and be resourceful when the unexpected occurs * An impeccable eye for detail and exceptional time management skills * Good communication skills and ability to work well with others * A friendly personality that is welcoming, adaptive, understanding and respectful * AND most of all a can-do PROACTIVE attitude WHAT WE OFFER * On site tented accommodation, meals and your uniform provided for your 3 week work roster * Get out of constantly being locked inside and experience freedom and open spaces surrounded by nature * The opportunity to explore some of the most extraordinary outback adventures and culture in Australia when assisting as a tour guide or when rostered off * Make lifelong friends and get paid well while doing this.
