Job Description The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor should be a licensed Respiratory Therapist with at least 3-4 years of experience in the world of Telehealth Sleep Medicine. This role supervises the Clinical Staff, as well as cross-collaboration amongst all departments to ensure cohesive and comprehensive understanding of Lofta’s products, and how to communicate those nuances effectively to clients. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training new hires. The goal of the role is to standardize clinical SOPs and Coaching Call standard and expectations for seamless and comprehensive care. Will need to handle escalations, organizing or delegating necessary clinical product or sleep knowledge trainings, and be attentive to staff members in need of support. This role is responsible for providing encouragement, training, and managing accountability to Lofta’s newly diagnosed clients in a way that improves therapy outcomes. You should be this person: Fun, energetic, enthusiastic, willing to work hard and long hours (we are a start-up) Critical thinker who can take complex clinical topics and simplify to non-clinicians Able to read and write with proficiency Go the extra mile to answer staff needs to full understanding A “people person” who works well with others and can lead without bias Handle de-escalations with clients misunderstanding clinical workflows and policies Obsessed with organization, accuracy, systems and processes Experienced in monitoring and obtaining call and live chat metrics to utilize all staff to full capabilities Critical strategic thinker Informed with culture, technology, trends, and their evolution Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines Passionate about excellence and constantly raising the bar Self-motivated, professional, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills You take constructive criticism with ease and grace, embrace idea exchanges and have an open mind Minimum Required Qualifications Some skills that could help you land this position: Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance per Apria policy. Will be required to drive personal vehicle for patient home visits. Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy. Hold a current CPR Certification. Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice. Previous RT Management positions a plus Execution of home sleep tests under prescription from sleep physician Energetic feedback and support for clinical team members who support our Lofta clients as they begin and receive CPAP treatment through the Lofta RightStart Therapy Program Engage with clients transacting on the Lofta e-commerce web platform Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Certified Sleep Disorder Specialist preferred Experience in Sleep Medicine specifically in the area of the screening, testing, diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Apnea Deep knowledge of other sleep disorders, particularly Insomnia, preferred Understanding of alternative treatment methods for OSA Experience managing a team and understanding signs of staff burnout Creative in ways to enhance and maintain staff morale Experience in the reading and comprehension of computer scored sleep testing reports a plus Experience with Respiratory Durable Medical Equipment, specifically CPAP/BiPAP equipment and supplies Excellent interpersonal skills Enjoys working with the public and leading a team with a positive outlook Ability to quickly shift direction as needed with changing policies and effectively communicate changes to staff Familiarity with common computer programs (Outlook, MSFT Word, MSFT Excel) Strong English capabilities required Very strong computer skills Upbeat, happy and positive personality Professional and great communicator The more experience you have in sleep (testing, pap set-ups, support, etc.) the better PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
