What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Arrange transportation for shipments, optimizing for cost, transit time, and mode of transport
- Organize and manage inventory, storage, and transportation workflow schedules
- Track and update the status of shipments, providing regular reports
- Address and resolve transportation-related issues to ensure uninterrupted delivery
- Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and manage schedules
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
- Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Current knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Supply Chain certification(s) are a plus
- Familiarity with warehousing/storage and supply chain management principles
- Demonstrated self-management and problem-solving skills
