      The Compliance Logistics Clerk is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the shipping and dispatch process. This role involves auditing documentation, verifying shipments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The auditor will play a critical role in preventing errors, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining a high standard of quality in outbound shipments.

      The Quality Logistics Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of logistics and distribution operations by investigating chargebacks, identifying product defects, and supporting root cause analysis. This role bridges quality assurance and logistics functions, helping to maintain customer satisfaction and reduce financial losses related to non-compliance and product issues.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • BOL Processing & Accuracy:
        1. Close out Bills of Lading (BOLs) in the system after verification.
        2. Audit all shipping paperwork to ensure accuracy in order numbers, pallet counts, and carrier details.
        3. Verify that all BOLs are signed by the driver before departure.
      • Trailer & Shipping Compliance:
        1. Ensure drivers pull trailers from the correct dock door as per dispatch instructions.
        2. Verify that the correct trailer number is assigned to the corresponding orders.
        3. Monitor and report any discrepancies in trailer assignments or shipping documentation.
      • Quality & Compliance Audits:
        1. Ensure that all required documents are filed correctly and accessible for future audits.
        2. Report missing or incorrect documentation and work with dispatch teams to correct issues.
      • Coordination & Communication:
        1. Work closely with dispatch clerks, warehouse supervisors, and drivers to resolve discrepancies.
        2. Communicate any compliance concerns or errors to management.
      • Additional Duties:
        1. Perform other quality and compliance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
        2. Participate in training sessions related to shipping compliance and best practices.
        3. Research and respond to chargebacks and compliance-related deductions from customers, with a focus on identifying root causes.
        4. Analyze shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, invoices) to verify accuracy and support chargeback resolution.
        5. Investigate reported product defects, documenting findings and escalating trends or recurring issues.

      Qualifications & Skills:

      • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or auditing preferred.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation errors.
      • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
      • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

      Preferred Skills:

      • Experience handling retail customer chargebacks (e.g., Walmart, CVS, Amazon).
      • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action processes (RCA/CAPA).
      • Basic understanding of product quality standards and packaging requirements.
