- Performs analysis and makes recommendations in support of longer-term strategic logistics opportunities
- Looks at opportunities to utilize alternate resource/ locations to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and minimize costs
- Continue to develop key relationships with FFH customers and carriers
- Build and maintain relationships with CMC Operations, Purchasing, and Buyer teams for all assigned locations
- Work with the CMC’s Logistics, Procurement, Legal and Risk Management teams to mitigate business risk related to fleet records
- Audit fleet records to validate complete and current records including taking corrective actions where needed
- Assist in dispatching outbound/inbound shipments
- Delivery scheduling and communicating with drivers while maintaining excellent customer service
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Monitor drivers through Lytx and coach when incidents are reported
- Manage scheduling of shipments and notify departments or customers of arrival/pickup dates
- Responsible for problem resolution and monthly DOT meeting
- Inspect fleet equipment and review equipment maintenance for roadworthiness and compliance with DOT, state, and CMC policies
- Build and maintain network model and ensure effective distribution of CMC's inbound and outbound materials
- Interacts with various lines of business to identify, analyze, and implement improvement activities
- 2+ years applicable work experience
- Ability to assess issues, and make timely, well informed decisions
- High integrity and strength of character and professional presence
- Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- SAP system experience preferred
- Work in a fast paced environment

The dispatcher is responsible for the daily planning, communication, and organization of outbound deliveries for both CMC and 3rd party drivers. This can also include the scheduling of inbound deliveries, assignment of trailers, working with the field for scheduling, scheduling maintenance for equipment, maintaining records, or numerous other activities as they relate to transportation.
