      JOB SUMMARY

      Takes care of logistics and customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, supporting delivery personnel, handling complaints, all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner. Responsibilities also include answering the phone, and other clerical duties requested by the supervisor.

      MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Route distribution and support to delivery drivers on the road (monitoring).
      • Oversee morning loadout with the drivers. Ensuring they have everything and helping find any missing items/paperwork.
      • Assign routes and book drivers for the following day.
      • Follow up on orders and notify the customer of any activity related to their merchandise.
      • Correct inventory errors and communicate daily with the client and the operations team to address various issues. Provide proof of shipment to the customer if required.
      • Prepare, classify, and distribute billing papers for delivery partners and ensure accurate billing by checking invoices generated by the system.
      • Maintain strong relationships with clients by responding to all their requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
      • Prepare various reports for the management team
      • Control all documents associated with orders.
      • Coordinate the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve delivery time and productivity objectives.
      • Participate in the implementation of work procedures developed jointly with operations, transport, and customer service.
      • Responsible for on-time shipments as prioritized by customer ensuring daily workload is executed well.
      • Monitor productivity levels of operations and communicate problems to supervisor.
      • Train staff, when necessary, on procedures, policies, and special projects.
      • Promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment
      • Other duties as required

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      • Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent business administration experience is preferred.
      • Related logistics experience would be an asset.
