The primary purpose of this position LOGISTICS MANAGMENT SPECIALIST NH-0346-03 is to serve as Logistician in the achievement of program product support goals and responsibilities by identifying, developing, implementing, incentivizing, measuring, and adjusting quantifiable best value outcome-based product support solutions that optimize Life-Cycle Cost.Duties
-Responsible for cradle-to-grave Life Cycle Logistics support of AF nuclear weapon systems and related surety and maintenance systems in accordance with public law, directives, policy and other written guidance. Integrates functions such as supply support, transportation, maintenance, security, communication, safety, and asset management/accountability to acquire and sustain applicable systems.
-Serve as the LCL expert representative and spokesperson in communicating assigned program/project matters and commits to related deadlines associated with assigned programs or responsibilities.
-Serve as the logistics technical advisor on contracts.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is described as assisting with directing, developing, implementing or functioning as part of a logistics management operation for an organization involved in providing logistical support to a new program, fielded system, modification or replacement program; aided with a logistics project conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation; aided with the planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:-Advanced knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition logistics and sustainment processes, Integrated Product Support (IPS), and related Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) initiatives.-Ability to plan, organize, direct, mentor, motivate and appraise a diverse government and contractor team to meet program(s) and organizational objectives.-Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition and sustainment processes.-Skill to plan, organize, and lead a team of logistics professionals in executing critical aspects of all phases of the system life cycle to include development and production, fielding, sustainment, surveillance, and demilitarization.-Knowledge in product support management, sustaining engineering, maintenance planning, supply support, technical data, support equipment, and packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
