      Job Purpose

      The Logistics Manager leads a team covering a wide range of tasks related to logistics at market/ above-market level. It covers Singapore Export Distribution Centre, 4PL for Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines with the following roles:

      • Leadership and team management

      • Third-Party Logistics Management

      • Cost Control and Optimization

      • Transportation Management

      • Customs Management

      • Warehouse Management

      The Logistics Manager must perform their job in close coordination with the MCO Supply Chain Head and in collaboration with the global logistics organization.

      Key Accountabilities

      Be the overall accountable for the people, performance, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics and warehouse operations.

      Leadership and team management

      • Lead, coach and support the Sanofi Logistics team.

      • Develop capabilities and potential through individual development programs

      • Focus on team engagement as an enabler for building a winning team that demonstrates our Sanofi Take The Lead culture.

      • Drive the diversity and inclusion agenda in managerial actions

      • Build a culture of performance and ensure talents are identified and retention and development actions are set in place

      Third-Party Logistics Management

      • Daily operations management

      - Orchestration of daily operations

      - Repackaging activities at Export Distribution Centre

      - Management of daily interface issues

      - Responsibility for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

      - Inbound process management

      - Management of damaged products and returns for resolution with claim management tomorrow with i.O2C.

      • Compliance and audits

      - Work closely with Quality to ensure Good Distribution Practice is in place.

      - Participate in audits (Internal/External/GDP audit)

      - Lead/Support stock count as per global processes.

      • Supplier relationship management

      - Determine the value each supplier provides, and which ones are most critical/strategic to business continuity, operational excellence and performance.

      - Develop relationships with suppliers and build trust and mutually beneficial partnerships.

      - Find cost savings and maximize the value of suppliers.

      • SLAs development.

      - State the business objectives to be achieved.

      - Describe in detail the service to be provided.

      - Contributes to define KPIs, expected targets and pay against performance if required.

      - Describe reporting mechanism for measuring expected performance.

      - Describe remediation mechanism when performance standards are not achieved.

      - Manage VMI customer analytics & replenishment (where relevant)

      • KPIs maintenance, performance and cost monitoring, management and control

      - Weekly / Monthly KPIs follow-up

      - Set up processes for monthly cost control (tracking of spend vs contract)

      - Approve 3PL invoices and partake in identifying areas of improvement and efficiencies for Sanofi and the 3PL.

      • Best business practices maintenance

      - Make sure best practices are aligned with our 3PL core model and key business rules.

      - Liaise with internal stakeholders to apply 3PL core model.

      - Manage VMI customer analytics & replenishment (where relevant)

      • Process improvement and new initiatives contribution.

      - Effort to contribute to make core business processes better to lead to more effective and efficient workflows.

      - Detect and share any inefficiency with relevant stakeholders to discuss any potential improvement.

      - Make use of KPIs / Performance to detect any improvement area.

      - Collect feedback ideas from the teams closest to 3PL management activity.

      Cost Control and optimization

      • Define adequate action plans to track and optimize distribution costs.

      • Ensure the control of expenditures and track performance versus approved budget.

      • Engage stakeholders who influence the distribution cost (such as Trade, Customer Fulfillment, Commercial) to ensure distribution cost is considered and factored in when making decisions (such as changes in distribution model, route-to-market, minimum orders, frequency of deliveries and service level commitments etc.)

      Transportation Management

      • Manage, plan and or execute transportation in compliance with Sanofi processes and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

      • Ensure best cost-to-serve.

      • Supplier relationship management

        • Develop relationships with suppliers and build trust and mutually beneficial partnerships.

        • Timely address issues of collaboration and set up a service level agreement or similar with the DC.

        • Collect, control and challenge KPIs related to DC activities and support continuous improvement.

        • Support audits/inspections, follow up on improvements initiatives.

      • Ensure proper back-ups and business continuity planning.

      Customs Management

      • Manage import/export activities.

      • Ensure full compliance, documentation is in place.

      • Ensure back-up is trained and able to fully support the process.

      • Consider Business Continuity Planning, such as having several flows prepared or activated.

      Warehouse Management

      • Support activities of the local internal distribution center in compliance with local regulation, good distribution practice and Sanofi procedures

      About You

      Skills/Expertise/Experience:

      • Experience in wide range of Logistics and warehouse activities.

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

      • English language proficiency.

      Preferred Skills/Expertise/Experience:

      • Team player who can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlines.

      • Experience with leading teams and projects within the field of logistics, warehouse and supply chain.

      • Knowledge of import/export regulation and GDP an advantage

      • Excellent systems skills a strong advantage

      • Understanding of downstream processes and local trade environment within Pharma

      • Understanding of KPI's & SLA management

      • Strong Relationship Management (internal and external)

      • Understanding of process improvement/change management

      • Strong data analysis skills - Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from data.

      • Capacity to work transversally and in a dynamic environment.
