Job Description
- Req#: 89144
- Act as primary contact point for external customers, work with Marketing, Sales, Service Design, Transportation, and other BNSF organizations to assess, research, and resolve issues.
- Initiate or correct train and railcar reporting to ensure regulatory compliance, safety, reduced dwell, protect crew starts, and ensure prompt train movement.
- Interface with U.S., Canadian, and Mexican customs authorities, customs brokers, and internal customers to provide clearance of freight to maintain fluidity across international gateways.
- Effectively respond to questions from both internal and external customers
- Identify issues and implement solutions
- Interpret information and apply rules and agreements.
- Initiate and process correspondence via various communication channels, and maintain confidential information
- This position requires successful candidates to take and pass a typing test, administered through BNSF. The minimum net typing rate required for this position is 25 wpm.
- I am at least 18 years of age or will be by the anticipated start date listed in the job description.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Available to work in the geographic area indicated
- Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English
- Available to work a 40-hour work week subject to overtime that includes weeknights, weekends and holidays
- Able to type, without errors, at the required speed as indicated by the job posting
- Able to handle multiple projects and duties simultaneously, accurately input data into computer systems and sit for long periods of time
- Basic level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint) and have used them in school and/or at work
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish
- 1 year verifiable work experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
- 1 year verifiable work experience in Customer Service, Sales or related field
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software, such as Salesforce
- Experience working 2nd or 3rd shift on a job in the past 5 years.

Salary Range: Entry pay rate is approximately $200.64 per day, with an annual salary of $52,166Pay rates are listed at entry rate. Entry rate is 85% of full pay rate, to increase 5% per year until at 100%.

SHIFTS/HOURS: This position in full time (40 hours/week), subject to seniority and governed by a union agreement. Assigned shift may be one of three 8-hour shifts. Our Customer Support Team is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. The workdays for this position will be 5 consecutive days. For example, this position could work a Tuesday-Saturday shift, a Thursday-Monday shift, a Monday-Friday shift or any other 5-day combination. This position may workdays, nights and/or holidays.

DUES: Per the collective bargaining agreement, union membership and monthly dues are required.
