      DCS Corporation is seeking a Logistics Specialist to provide logistics support for a fast-paced Army product management office in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with Army aviation maintenance and supply chain logistics expertise.

      Essential Job Functions:

      Provides, coordinates, and conducts logistics, maintenance, and sustainment planning.

      Assists with logistics performance specifications and statements of work and ensures continued operation and maintenance of a system.

      Reviews and assesses logistics deficiencies throughout the life cycle.

      Identifies opportunities for performance and capability enhancement, evaluates deficiencies for correction, and develops corrective action options.

      Recommends design changes to resolve operational and safety issues and provides analysis of environmental and safety hazards, failure causes, and effects, reliability and maintainability trends, and operation use profile changes.

      Provides logistics support for system testing, Technical Manual (TM) validation/verification, Logistics Demonstration, and fielding and training.

      Ensures cost-effective support to achieve peacetime and wartime readiness and performance over the system’s life cycle.

      Establishes and coordinates provisioning requirements and execution with Life Cycle Management Centers (LCMC) and contractors.

      Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders on logistics requirements.

      Establishes and assists in the planning, developing, coordinating, defending, and executing all aspects of the PEO/PM’s life cycle logistics support under the DOD acquisition and sustainment processes.

      Identifies product life cycle logistics requirements.

      Reviews product sustainment plans and related acquisition logistics documents.

      Assists in logistics automation using enterprise planning tools (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, and etc.) for acquisition and sustainment operations.

      Required Skills:

      Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

      Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 13 years of relevant experience.

      Must have a Secret clearance.

      Knowledge of logistics enterprise planning tools (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, and etc.) and Army supply chain.

      Demonstrated experience in Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).

      Thorough understanding of life cycle logistics regulations and policies, including DoD 5000 series, AR 70-1, AR 700-127, and AR 700-142.

      Competency in communication, leadership, logistics automated systems, team management, and risk management.

      Ability to lift and move 40 pounds and stand during the workday in a warehouse environment. (A good portion of this position involves hands-on materiel handling/warehouse work.)

      Ability to install aviation related communication equipment and work in the field in support of mission requirements.

      Ability to work independently and safely.

      Valid Driver's License.

      Travel up to 40%.

      Desired Skills:

      Experience in Army aviation maintenance is a plus.

      Equivalent of DAWIA Certification Level II for Life Cycle Logistics.

      Knowledge of Logistics, Maintenance, Sustainment Engineering, and National Environment Protection Agency (NEPA) policies.
