      About The Role

      Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers.

      What The Candidate Will Do

      • Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order
      • Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations
      • Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers
      • Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation
      • Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes
      • Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors
      • Proactive analysis to prevent service failures
      • Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy
      • Professional and timely communications
      • Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
      • Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials
      • Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow

      Basic Qualifications

      • High school diploma or GED equivalent
      • 1-2 years minimum of transportation/logistics experience

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in transportation management or logistics
      • Experience in transportation/logistics
      • Basic understanding of BI and Tableau reporting
      • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
