      Long Island Nets - Public Address Announcer

      Location: Uniondale, NY

      The Long Island Nets are seeking the next voice of Long Island Nets Basketball. We're looking for an engaged and qualified individual to serve as our public address announcer. Applicants must have prior experience with public address and be committed to serving our players, coaches, front office staff, fans and the greater Long Island Nets community. This role offers valuable in-game experience with a professional basketball team, focusing on enhancing the fan experience at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.

      Responsible for the delivery of announcements at home games, using a public address system. Announce starting lineups, in game action, game play, promotions and other relevant information to the audience, ensuring a smooth and engaging game day atmosphere.

      QUALIFICATIONS

        • Extensive knowledge of NBA Basketball including rules and positions
        • Previous experience as a PA Announcer or in a similar role
        • Must have an excellent speaking voice and ability to project, annunciate and have the ability to read announcements in a timely fashion
        • Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced environment
        • Ability to take direction and adapt to the needs of the game
        • Strong communication skills and an upbeat personality
        • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
        • Must be willing to work all 24 home games from November - April

      RESPONSIBILITIES

        • Serve as the PA Announcer during games, providing announcements and engaging with the audience
        • Ensure a positive and upbeat atmosphere for fans attending the games
        • Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Game Presentation or Coordinator of Game Presentation, the Public Address Announcer assists with the engagement and communications of the game
        • Aid in necessary activation of any emergency protocol and practices as directed
        • Potential to participate in community events and engagement on non-gamedays

      SALARY RANGE:

      $40 - $50 per hour

      WORK ENVIRONMENT:

      You will be expected to attend all Long Island Nets games at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, as well as other events that may take place on weekends and/or holidays.
