- Conduct thorough inspections at the worksites of current and potential policyholders to assess and minimize risks.
- Evaluate service requirements and develop customized loss control service plans.
- Identify client needs and provide tailored safety training and consulting services.
- Analyze loss data to uncover trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and evaluate complex data, formulating effective hazard control recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports that offer Underwriters clear insights into policyholders' and prospective clients' operations, as well as their capabilities in managing hazards.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the risk control and safety industry through continuous self-study and participation in professional courses and seminars.
- Contribute to risk selection and improvement processes, ensuring the timely delivery of professional, and consultative safety management services to clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Construction, Safety or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Ten or more years of insurance experience in loss control or risk management
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Risk Management (ARM), or other relevant certifications
- Knowledgeable of residential and light commercial construction, general liability and workers’ compensation hazards
- Skill in interpersonal interactions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external contacts; skill in customer service and problem-solving
- Capacity to travel and work autonomously, in various field locations, while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadership
- Skill in analysis, time and organizational management; ability to multi-task effectively while paying attention to detail
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications

Position Summary
The Senior Loss Control Consultant performs advanced loss analysis and risk assessments to develop tailored service plans, which are then implemented in collaboration with customers. In addition, the Senior Consultant provides mentorship to junior staff and creates and delivers presentations on a variety of safety-related topics.
