      The Role:

      • Trouble-shoot low voltage systems with wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
      • Perform all duties related to schematics and Low Voltage Electrical and Electronics and other electrical
      • duties. Follow all standard or accepted methods and procedures within company safety guidelines.

      Skills:

      • Trouble-shoot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
      • Trouble-shoot electrical to electronic interfaces
      • Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections in a professional manner using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics
      • Assembly duties as required
      • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to the immediate Supervisor
      • Follow prescribed safety regulations/guidelines
      • Work with Engineering and Vendors on new wiring requirements for Prototype units and systems
      • Work independently on wiring and programming engines and power pack systems
      • ECM programming
      • Be able to work with Programmable Motion Control cards (PCM cards)
      • Perform other duties as required or directed

      Occasional, Infrequent:

      • Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts
      • Return leftover parts to Warehouse
      • Chase parts and fill in the necessary paperwork
      • Train new hires
      • Document and diagram wiring when needed (example: Prototype units)

      Behaviors:

      • Required to read, write, and comprehend English
      • Use and comprehend specifications, electrical schematics
      • Knowledge of all electrical components and their ideal operation
      • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting principles and application
      • Troubleshooting

      Education & Experience:

      HS Diploma or GED required

      The training period for this position:

      12 to 18 Months

      Prior Positions/Training:

      Two years minimum in a low-voltage electrician role

      Working Conditions:

      Some exposure to dirt, oil, and other shop elements

      Responsibility for Equipment / Process / Material / Product:

      Handles equipment such as multi-meters. Improper use of equipment or failure to correct wiring faults may cause heavy damage. Thoughtlessness or inattention can cause fatal injuries to the incumbent as well as to others. Responsible for meeting the objectives of our ISO programs. When there are any questions regarding these programs they shall be directed to your supervisor/manager or the facility ISO representative. Supervisors and managers are responsible for communicating the policy and objectives of ISO programs to their employees.
