To shepherd a family through the admissions process in a highly detailed and personalized manner, leading to enrollment
Lead engaging and informative tours with prompt, personalized follow-up.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective lower school students and their families.
Provide information about the school's programs, and assist families in navigating the admissions process.
Administer assessments to prospective students, ensuring a smooth and supportive testing environment.
Work with the DOA to develop and implement communications campaigns to promote awareness in the community that leads to inquiries converting to enrollment and retention.
Track and report ROI of communication strategies.
Initiate and/or support strategies to increase enrollment through new and pre-existing on-campus experiences.
Work alongside the DOA to plan, coordinate and execute most admissions events, such as open houses, and information sessions.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure events are well-organized and impactful.
Conduct research and build networks to gain insights of industry trends and best practices. Use this information to inform and make implementation recommendations to the DOA.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Previous experience in admissions, education, or customer service/sales preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Initiative-taker/ innovator.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to build strong relationships and superb follow-through skills.
Effective team player and works well independently.
Experience in supporting marketing and communication strategies.
Able to work some evenings and weekends with advance notice.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working with student records software and CRM platforms. Social media platforms preferred.
Knowledge of Minnehaha Academy and the Covenant Church a plus; able to promote the mission of Minnehaha Academy
Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life.

Minnehaha Academy’s Admission Office is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lower School Admissions Counselor to join our team. This role will focus primarily on shepherding prospective students and their families through the admissions process while also engaging in any other duties as assigned to enhance our admissions efforts. This is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Director of Admission and Enrollment. The scheduled hours of this position are primarily during the business day with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

Serves prospective guardians and students, offering exceptional and holistic guidance and customized support throughout the admission process. Coordinates tours and student visits and oversees testing. Attends some recruitment events. Performs all other duties as assigned.
