      Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

      Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating the Christian faith and learning.


      Minnehaha Academy seeking a Building Substitute Teacher to work every school day of 2025-2026 in our Lower School. The Lower School Building Substitute will serve the entire Lower School, including Preschool through 5th grade classrooms, Specialist classrooms, and Preschool Teaching Assistant roles.


      The hours are 8:00-3:30. This is an hourly position, with 7 hours of paid time daily and an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.


      Purpose: To maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment and to provide strong and stable instruction for students during teacher absences.


      Qualifications:

      • College degree, educational background preferred

      • Dedication to students’ learning

      • Positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents

      • Teaching License preferred, not mandatory

      • Ability to support our mission by relating the Christian faith to learning and life

      The salary range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00 per hour, to be determined by our Human Resource Director based on education and experience.
