      Conemaugh Physician Group is seeking a full-time LPN for CPG Surgery in Johnstown, PA. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care to meet the needs of the patients, assisting medical staff, and providing quality care to the patients. Provides direct patient care ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      Assists medical staff in carrying out plans for care of patients.

      Assists with speculum/anoscope exams and cultures, Wound Vac, removal of drains and foleys, ostomies, minor surgical procedures, other invasive office procedures.

      Demonstrate knowledge of sterility during procedures.

      Handles patient telephone inquiries and submitting prescription orders electronically as needed.

      Identifies educational needs of patients/families and collaborates with providers and other healthcare professionals to meet those needs.

      Prepares daily charts.

      Coordinates and orients new nursing personnel regarding office set-up requirements, associated activities, and procedures.

      Coordinates patient care activities with the hospital.

      Transcribes lab and other medical data to charts.

      Competently documents visits and notes in EPIC.

      Completes inventory and orders medical supplies.

      Participates in office Quality Improvement initiatives.

      Job Qualifications:

      Education:

      Required: Graduate of a state program for licensed practical nurses.

      Experience:

      Required: One year experience working in a clinical setting.

      Preferred: One-year clinical outpatient office experience, preferably in a General/Bariatric setting. Electronic medical record experience either in acute care setting or medical office practice.

      Certification/Licensure/Registration:

      Required: Current valid Pennsylvania nursing license.
