      • JOB REQUIREMENTS
        • Education
          • Skill and proficiency in applying the technical skill of practical nursing. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of an approved Practical Nursing Program. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age as acquired through formal education course work. Current licensure to permit as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
        • Experience
          • Knowledge of healthcare institution policies/procedures, practices, techniques and equipment as acquired through experience. Minimum of 6 months nursing experience as LPN.
        • Physical
          • This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.
          • Requires physical strength to perform the essential functions of the job. Normal hospital environment, close eye work, hearing of normal and soft tones, distinguish smells, distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, water. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 obs.
      • JOB SUMMARY
        • Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required. Assists the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for assigned group of patients. Documents patient condition, treatments, and care given.
