      Perform moderate/difficult clerical tasks to prepare and maintain accounting, payroll, and
      accounts payable transactions using standard account procedures.

      This position is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours of work per week.
      • Reviews and processes all Invoices, purchase orders, check requests, invoice downloads and other payment requests.
      • Scans all forms of entry from invoices, purchase orders, check requests, etc. into the document management system and associates with the proper transaction in the accounting system.
      • Process various forms of payment remittance.
      • Prepares and submits payment committee reports for review and approval.
      • Monitors and reports on vendor and supplier W-9 and Wisconsin tax exemption compliance in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.
      • Process and maintain Department of Workforce Development unemployment insurance benefit charges and adjustments.
      • Process and maintain employee proof of auto insurance records.
      • Prepares regular journal entries as necessary.
      • Assists with yearly Audit.
      • Monitors and maintains Finance Division office supplies.
      • Serves as back-up for various department operations:
        • counter receipts entry
        • courier functions
        • Mailroom functions
      • Other duties as assigned.
      • Associate degree, technical school degree or equivalent in accounting or business-related coursework.
      • Considerable knowledge of common office applications, particularly MS Office applications.
      • Competency in word processing and spreadsheets.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
      • Ability to establish and maintain effective public, staff, and inter-departmental working relationships. Must exercise tact and courtesy.
      • Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier, fax, scanner, etc.
      • Ability to demonstrate reliability, resourcefulness and good judgment.
      • Ability to deal with sensitive data in a confidential manner. Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and integrity.
      • Ability to comprehend financial and technological information.
      • Ability to carry out complex oral and written instructions.

      The museum complex includes the historical David Taylor House, the 1864 Weinhold Family Homestead, the 1890s Schuchardt Barn with rural agricultural displays and the 1867 Bodenstab Cheese Factory with early commercial cheese making implements.
