      As the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Lead under the Lunar Engineering Data Systems and Architecture group you will be responsible for architecting, prototyping, developing, and deploying new MBSE approaches tools and models for supporting development of mission ConOps and associated timeline analysis, performing functional analysis, technical baseline management and requirements tracking and decomposition. You will work across Blue Origin to integrate Lunar with MBSE initiatives and connect Lunar’s MBSE approach to the Blue MBSE ecosystem.

      Responsibilities:

      • Be the leader and champion of MBSE approaches on all Lunar programs.
      • Tasking a team of MBSE engineers
      • Formulate a pragmatic approach to MBSE to manage and connect CONOPS to various vehicle level system analyses to establish a single source of truth connected chain of data from design and development through operations.
      • Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain new user facing MBSE tools and approached to automate engineering processes to reduce engineering cycle time.
      • Communicate with our internal engineering and business teams to provide rapid and effective solutions.
      • Identify and work with broader group of Lunar Transportation Business unit and Blue Origin stakeholders as necessary.
      • Establish a culture of data driven decisions, insights, and processes.
      • Perform technical work and provide technical leadership of the highest standard.
      • Work independently toward long-range objectives without appreciable direction and determine the technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutions.
      • Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles.

      Qualifications:

      • Demonstrated experience architecting, prototyping and deploying complex MBSE models and solutions.
      • Expert practitioner in agile development methodologies with experience working in an agile development environment.
      • Solid understanding of MBSE tools like Cameo etc.
      • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills
      • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering
      • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

      Desired:

      • Relevant MBSE experience on past space missions/programs
      • Experience with activity diagrams development and mission decomposition in CAMEO
      • Experience with functional decomposition for requirements development
      • Knowledge of various data sharing / integration methodologies (e.g. REST, SOAP, EDI, Enterprise Service Bus)
      • Experience working with Digital Thread and Digital Twin architectures.
      • - Experience with System Engineering and System Architecting
      • Experience with aerospace or space vehicle design development and test
