Job Description
Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Specialty: Orthopedics in Outpatient Clinic

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Experience: 2 years of experience as an LVN, with a preference for previous lead experience and 1 year of orthopedic experience

License: Valid and permanent California LVN license with IV certification

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and IV Certified

Must-Have:
- IV/blood draw certification
- Proficiency with blood draws
- Experience in cast care and suture removal
- COVID-19 vaccination with booster; no exemptions allowed

Job Description:
- Conduct daily patient care activities in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Perform IV insertions and blood draws capably and safely.
- Handle casting and remove sutures for patients needing orthopedic care.
- Adapt to the needs of the facility and float within scope as necessary.
- Wear burgundy scrubs and utilize Epic for charting.
- Participate in 12 hours of orientation, completing required modules and learning specific protocols.

Additional Details:
- No on-call requirement for this position.
- Weekend work is not required.
- Local applicants are accepted, with a flexible policy on time-off requests (RTO restricted to 7 days or less, not within the first two weeks of the assignment).
- Willingness to be flexible with float requirements within the job scope.
