Job Description Summary:
Responsible for providing massage therapy services to patients and families as referred by physician or cancer services staff. Services are provided in the in-patient and out-patient settings.Responsibilities And Duties:
90%
Provide massage therapy to patients and family members as referred by physician and/or cancer services staff.
10%
Provides ongoing communication with cancer services staff both verbal and written. Provides monthly reports of volume and quality indicators to manager.Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED (Required)LMTOH - Ohio State Medical Board as limited medical practitioner in massage therapy - National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and BodyworkAdditional Job Description:
High school or one year college equivalent; AD in health related field. Licensure by the Ohio state Medical Board as limited medical practitioner in massage therapy. Excellent communications skills (listening, etc. ). Patient assessment ability to identify reportable patient emergency and ability to modify massage techniques in order to promote relaxation and comfort in debilitated patient. Knowledge of correct body mechanics principles. Two years Experience in massage therapy practice.Work Shift:
