      The MAPPS Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 tenant and services with potential support for server hosted applications within the MAPPS (Microsoft Application Platform and Productivity Solutions) environment. This role combines infrastructure reliability with modern workplace innovation, including SharePoint, M365 Copilot, Power Platform, and niche business applications.

      Responsibilities:

      M365 Implementation and Management:

      • Configure and deploy M365 services in alignment with organizational needs and best practices.

      • Administer and optimize the M365 platform, including features and best practices to ensure the organization leverages the full potential of the platform services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Defender and MS Viva.

      Security and Compliance:

      • Ensure the M365 environment adheres to security policies and compliance requirements.

      • Collaborate with cybersecurity and Information Governance teams to implement governance policies and ensure regulatory compliance.

      • Understand user accounts, permissions, and security settings within the M365 environment.

      • Maintain awareness of Microsoft deprecation notices and roadmap changes.

      Automation & Innovation

      • Support integration of M365 with other enterprise systems.

      • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy with using tools like PowerShell and Power Automate.

      • Collaborate with other IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions that enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.

      Collaboration & Enablement

      • Provide Tier 2/3 support to end users and IT peers.

      • Provide mentoring to engineers performing the operational efforts.

      • Actively participate in projects that involve multiple departments, ensuring seamless integration and cooperation among different teams.

      Support and Troubleshooting:

      • Monitor service health, usage, and performance of M365 applications

      • Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex issues related to M365 applications and services for end-users.

      • Participate in On-call rotation

      • Adhere to department SLA requirements

      Monitoring and Reporting:

      • Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.

      • Proactive monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance.

      Documentation:

      • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for M365 configurations, processes, and procedures.

      • Create knowledgebase articles for IT staff and end-users.

      • Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. with IT and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.

      Proactive Learning:

      • Stay up-to-date with the latest M365 features, updates, and industry trends.

      • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation within the M365 environment.

      Requirements:

      Technical Skills:

      • Experience with M365 Services, Power Automate, Power Apps, Powershell scripting.

      • Proficiency in SharePoint Online Administration.

      • Familiarity with SharePoint permissions, site architecture, and content management.

      Experience:

      • Significant experience in managing and optimizing M365 environments, with a focus on Modern Workplace Applications.

      • Significant experience in SharePoint Online Administration

      • Experience with SharePoint migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix).

      • Track record of managing and SharePoint environments at an enterprise level.

      Soft Skills:

      • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical audiences.

      • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.

      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

      • In depth knowledge of M365 services and applications.

      • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

      • Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a M365 environment.

      Compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000, depending on experience.
