  The West Chinden Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a personable and hard-working part-time Medical Assistant!

  Position Summary & Highlights:

  • This MA position will support a family medicine provider.

  • You will also work with other MAs and RNs to support 5 other Providers in a great workplace culture.

  • You will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA skills and will see a variety of patients.

  • West Chinden Family Medicine provides convenient care close to home for Eagle and Meridian residents.

  What Will You Do:

  • In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.

  • You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.

  • An ideal candidate will be easy going, enjoy working in a fast-paced and strong team environment.

  • You will also have effective communication skills, are flexible, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working independently and in a team.

  Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, either 4 - 10 hour shifts, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (Wednesdays off) OR 3 full-days and 2 half-days, Mondays - Fridays,

  • 6:30am - 4:30pm. Half days would end around 12:30pm.

  • Shift start and end time may vary based on provider and clinic needs.

  • Located at the intersection of Chinden Boulevard and Meridian Road.

  • Currently this provider is temporarily working at the Star clinic one day a week.

  MA Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.

  • MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)

    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

    • National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)

    • American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)

    • National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)

  • New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.

  • Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

  • *Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
