Machine Operator - 2nd Shift (Bleachery area)

Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm - 11:30pm *Required Overtime will be mandatory. Up to 4 hours daily depending on company needs. Weekend production will be required on a needed basis.*

What Production Set-up and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Responsibilities

• Attends daily team meetings to review job assignments, safety updates, and production goals

• Safely operates overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as needed to move materials

• Performs tasks in high heat conditions for extended periods while following safety protocols

• Sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment

• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure equipment is running and meeting production goals

• Performs Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

• Responsible for meeting quality and productivity rates on machine

• Directing employee or multiple employees to maintain quality and productivity expectation on machines

• Cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience preferred

• High school degree or GED preferred

• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area

• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications

• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution

• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

• Adheres to all quality guidelines

• Works under moderate degree of supervision

• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor

• Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor

Pay Rate: $18.17 per hour (includes shift differential)
