      Your role at Clorox:

      The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a machine operator position to operate, maintain and troubleshoot our packaging equipment at our Atlanta-Main facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Home Care and Laundry products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in excellent working condition, and that products are being manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

      Starting Hourly rate: $24.15 with a shift differential (if applicable for overnight hours). Shift-12hr. schedule, operating in a 2-2-3, in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Offering an excellent compensation and benefits package.

      In this role, you will:

      • Operate packaging equipment, ensuring that it is set up and maintained properly.

      • Perform changeovers on all equipment, following established procedures and protocols.

      • Fix and repair any equipment malfunctions or failures, using your mechanical knowledge and skills.

      • Identify and accurate quality problems, working with teams as needed to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards.

      • Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and parts assigned ordering replacements as needed.

      • Assist with completion of improvement projects and equipment installations, working with the engineering team as needed.

      • Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and responsibly.

      • Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with established procedures.

      • Attending all required training sessions, staying up to date on new equipment and technologies.

      • Safety is a core value at Clorox; therefore, all employees must perform all their work in accordance with OSHA and Clorox safety standards.

      What we look for:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required; (some vocational/technical or mechanical coursework in similar areas, highly preferred).

      • 2-3 years of machine operator working experience. (Manufacturing environment, highly preferred).

      • Ability to troubleshoot and/or call out minor repairs to mechanical issues with equipment due to jams, adjustments, calibrations.

      • Root cause, problem solving skills (highly preferred).

      • Familiar with packaging equipment, manufacturing production lines and efficiency along with processes.

      • Able to have attention to detailed specs with regards to quality control principles.

      • Must be able to work in a team environment with strong communication skills, partnering with other team members, team leaders and/or other departments.

      • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting purposes.

      • Able to follow established procedures, for example; SOP’s, GMP’s, 5s’ and safety protocols.

      • Work timeframes of 12 hr. Shifts.
