  Sets up, operates and adjusts automatic equipment. Makes adjustments, changeovers and minor mechanical maintenance functions to production equipment. Consistently executes Quality System work procedures pertinent to the position.

  Works as a member of a production team to maintain continuous operation of line equipment. Observes machine operation to anticipate necessary adjustments and minor repairs to prevent downtime. Adjusts operating equipment to accommodate differences in ware. Starts and stops line as required to prevent quality or safety problems.

  Re-sequences machine after equipment malfunction by manipulation of controls on control panel. Identifies source of malfunction such as broken glass, limit switch alignment, improper vacuum pickup, etc. and makes corrective adjustments. Manually loads cartons when equipment malfunctions.

  Loads glass, packing material and accessories onto automatic equipment. Loads manual workstations and supplies assembler-packers or other jobs, cut down boxes, stacks cartons and performs other utility tasks.

  Directs utility in palletizing of ware. Notifies forklift driver of ware-in-process and other bulk materials needed to keep the line running. Notifies supervisor of any anticipated shortage of material based on knowledge of production rates.

  Ensures that all WIP, packing material, etc. is identified and strapped, or otherwise prepared, to be returned to the warehouse once the line is stopped. Keeps records and makes simple calculations.

  Verifies and identifies all ware-in-process, accessories, etc. for conformance with assembly and packaging specifications. Assists other production, maintenance and staff personnel to ensure safe, efficient operations. Provides relief as necessary.

  Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.

  Directs assembler-packers and utility workers when utilizing side belts.
