- Mix high volume cellulose powder into a blender.
- Monitor manufacturing processes.
- Shutdown and clean process equipment.
- Monitor equipment and instrumentation safely with minimal guidance, including mills, blenders, shakers, PLCs, water systems, pumps, extruders/dispersers, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Ensure all documentation is cGMP compliant.
- Adhere to safety and quality protocols including uniforms, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hardhats, and hearing protection.
- Perform some equipment maintenance and improvements.
- Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform general tasks as guided by management, such as cleaning and disinfecting work areas (sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment with detergents).

Job Description
Operators are integral in maintaining high industry standards by producing quality products. As an Operator I, you will be responsible for receiving raw materials, partnering with Quality Control to test materials/products, blending high volume cellulose powder, packaging finished goods, and fostering a safe, productive, and quality-driven environment.

Employees are eligible for an annual profitability bonus based on company performance. A $1/hr shift premium is provided once transitioned to a permanent employee on the night shift.
Work Environment
The facility is climate-controlled to maintain specific material temperatures. This position is on the Starch line, with 2 openings on the day shift and 3 on the night shift. Shifts operate from 5:45AM-6:15PM or 5:45PM-6:15AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. The manufacturing environment is temperature-controlled, and interactions are mostly within a team of four. Safety gear is provided, and the culture is strong, with a focus on teamwork and productivity.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
