Daikin Applied is seeking a Machine Operator to perform operations associated with the assembly of final product, sub-assemblies, and componentry for chiller products.

Starting Wage: $23.86

Shift: 6am-2pm (subject to change)

Location: 207 Laurel Hill Road, Verona VA

What you will do:

• Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, and applicable Operator Method Sheet documents
• Operate various tools and equipment to handle, manipulate, and move components, assemblies, and final product including transporting material to other work areas and the warehouse
• Use measuring devices as well as visual inspection to ensure the highest quality products and conformity to all prints, work instructions and Quality standards with the goal of eliminating internal and external escapes
• Maintain required records including but not limited to:
  • Quality checklists, inputs into specified electronic systems, and recording all line issues into appropriate data collection systems in a timely manner
• Complete required skills training (crane and tugger operation, fall protection, etc)
• Conduct safe operation of equipment as required to complete assigned tasks (tube benders, SB8, press brakes, laser, etc)
• Assist in the installation, qualification, maintenance, and repair of machinery
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and help identify problems as detected
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment
• Perform necessary housekeeping and sanitation, pre and post operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple plant-wide equipment
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Frequently lift, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Machine operator experience
