      About Mubea

      CNC Machinist, produces precision machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine (Lathe,Mill,Grinder,etc); maintaining high quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.



      Job summary

      2nd Shift - 2pm - 10pm

      • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
      • Strong background on one of the following CNC control's such as Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol,Fanuc or equivalent.
      • Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock.
      • Programs self sufficient mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, proving part programs.
      • Sets-up mills,lathes,grinders by installing, tools, attachments, collets, indicating vices.
      • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
      • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
      • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
      • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
      • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Associates Degree from a Technical College / Technical school and/or a minimum of 5 years experience as a CNC Machinist.
      • Experience with conversational programming required
      • Working in close tolerance (+/- 0.001 mm),great attention to detail.
      • Good understanding of basic mathematics such as trigonometry,geometry,3 dimensional / spatial sense,ability to apply the metric system,performing layout work according to blue prints.
      • Familiar with GD&T,performing quality checks by using measuring equipment (micrometers.calipers,etc.).
      • Conceptual Skills, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control.
      • Experience in Heidenhein controls preferred
