      Join JPMorgan's Treasury and Chief Investment Office and make a real impact as a Macro Research Associate. This position is part of a build-out of the Balance Sheet and Macro Research (BSMR) team that reports to the Head of Rates and Research within Treasury/Chief Investment Office.

      You will be responsible for identifying key macro trends, performing high quality analyses, and maintaining a research library. In this role you will work closely with the investment portfolio and can help inform balance sheet management actions. To be successful, you must have a passion for markets, central bank policy and banking system plumbing, be a self-starter and excel at creating concise and insightful presentations.

      Job responsibilities

      • Developing best-in-class analysis of key macro themes that are top of mind for the bank’s senior management, for example: quantitative tightening, system liquidity, productivity trends
      • Presenting: Based on a thorough analysis of external research (and potentially your own data analysis), provide senior stakeholders with regular, concise summaries of key macro themes, with a particular focus on the relevancy to interest rate risk and balance sheet management
      • Maintaining the Research Library: Engender active debate on key macro themes by highlighting the best third-party and internal analysis and maintain a curated repository of key research pieces (both external and internal)
      • Analyze Data and Maintain Dashboards: Develop metrics and dashboards to track key macro themes

      Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

      • 2+ years of experience following markets and macro themes/research
      • Strong academic background
      • Exceptionally strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

      • Degree in economics or related field preferred
