Mainframe Operator

ING Luxembourg has implemented an Agile Way of Working to deal with customer demand more quickly. This new way of working (organized in Squads, Tribes and Chapters) gives teams end to end responsibility & more autonomy in Tech delivery.

In order to enforce the Tribe Building Blocks, we are looking for a full time Mainframe Operator to join our Squad Mainframe.

Job Description

Within our Squad Mainframe you will:

• Be responsible for the operational maintenance and changes deployments (Cobol, JCL,…) in acceptance and production, plus ad-hoc jobs executions and tests routines.
• Coordinate and organize monthly and ad hoc Mainframe releases (communication to developers, pre-validations, technical operations, freeze periods,…).
• In case of incidents, issues or performance degradation, handle resolution with our partner in charge of mainframe infrastructure management.
• Process : contribute to the definition and effective implementation of the change management process on mainframe.
• Consulting : provide the required expertise for the design phase of our applications
• Ensure performance benchmark / KPI’s calculation.
• Be part of an on call duty team / level 2 incident resolution teams.

Technical skills

• Strong knowledge of ZOS, JCL, RMM, CICS, SMS, MQSeries
• Release & change management on zOS systems
• DB2 knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of Service Now, Confluence will be a plus as those are widely used within ING

Languages:

• working proficiency in English and/or French and conversational level of the other
