      Job Duties

      • Perform basic and complex building maintenance related tasks and know the proper technical requirements and methods needed to complete these tasks, for both inside and outside areas of all company plants and satellite structures.
      • Install and maintain all building plumbing and electrical (up to 480V) systems.
      • Locate and correct electrical and plumbing problems at all Crown buildings.
      • Find, order, or make parts required to fix problems.
      • Install and maintain all plant air-compressors.
      • Must be able to function as the leader of a project, direct assignments, and help train other department employees.
      • Do maintenance tasks involving concrete work, cutting, plumbing, snow removal, painting, cleaning floors, etc.
      • Install and maintain jib and bridge crane structure systems.
      • Locate and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine problems.
      • Do paperwork to keep records of problems and upkeep of machines.
      • Must maintain paint system, washer, and ovens.
      • Operate and drive construction equipment, tractors, trucks, lift trucks, snorkel, scissor lift, etc.
      • Use lift trucks and other equipment to move, hook up, and level machines.
      • Perform all other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • This position requires a high school diploma.
      • Related work experience is required for this position.
      • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required - must be able to read and understand prints and diagrams.
      • Ability to effectively work with servicemen, supervisors, and operators.
      • Basic computer skills required - Excel, Outlook, etc.
      • Must be able to stay stationary/traverse 8/10 hrs. per shift. Frequently bend, reach above shoulder level, balance, and occasionally squat, crawl, climb, kneel, and push/pull. Frequent lifting and carrying from 0 to 40 lbs. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written for effectively with other people. Must be able to hear, see, write, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple but firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals, and work at unprotected heights up to 30 feet. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to outside temperatures, dust, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
      • Must be able to read work orders and prints, basic math skills, knowledge of building structures, and basic computer skills. Must understand the concept of teamwork.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Two years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance preferred.
      • CNC machine service and programmable controller experience would be a plus.
