Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will receive work orders at the beginning of each shift and perform primarily electrical reactive maintenance. This includes troubleshooting and replacing photo eyes and sensors, controls troubleshooting, rewiring 480V motors, and VFD and drive replacement using Ethernet. You will also engage in some mechanical work, including wrench turning, while ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Pay & Shift

• Pay: $35-37 an hour
• Shift 7AM-7PM on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical reactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Replace and troubleshoot photo eyes and sensors.
• Rewire 480V motors and replace VFDs and drives using Ethernet.
• Troubleshoot using PLCs, particularly the 500 and 5000 series.
• Engage in mechanical work, including wrench turning.
• Transfer parameters between drives.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as 8-color flexo-presses, corrugators, die cutters, and roller-driven conveyors.
• Work with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Respond to on-call duties on weekends as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, especially the 500 and 5000 series.
• Proficiency in motor controls, specifically A-B Powerflex 40 and 525 VFDs.
• Experience with sensor and photo eye troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of 24V-480V power sources and components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in robotics teaching and reteaching.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Conduit running and installation.
• Industrial wiring experience.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment with a positive culture. Shifts include 7AM-7PM on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or 7AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday. On-call duties are rarely required on weekends, and you will be compensated for any necessary facility visits.

The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $76960.00/yr.
