Conagra Brands is looking for a Maintenance Electrical Technician at the Fort Madison, IA manufacturing plant! You will report to the Maintenance Manager with the openings will be on 2nd or 3rd shift. Conagra offers you a starting wage of $33.95 per hour and advancing to $35.55 per hour in 24 months or less with opportunities to earn up to $40.69 per hour. Conagra offers shift differentials of $0.45 for 2nd and $1.00 for 3rd.

• Main Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all assigned machinery

  • Troubleshoot machinery, analyze, and implement corrective procedures

  • Use all associated tools, machines, and diagnostic equipment

  • Create and close out own work orders and maintain inventory in SAP system

  • Regular, reliable attendance is necessary

  • Overhaul production lines or building structure

  • Ensure efficient operation of all production lines including mechanical services

  • Perform all work conforming to Conagra Foods, federal, state, and local standards and codes

  • Parts manufacture troubles shooting and proper operation of shop equipment

  • Follow all Safety, and Good Manufacturing Policies

  • Exhibit flexibility when required for special projects or any areas of the facility when needed

  • Provide operator training in safety, set-up, and changeover

  • Communicate with shift team members and team members from other shift crews

  • Help with construction type work involving the removal or installation of equipment

  • Perform other tasks and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to effectively use the English language, in verbal or written form

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interpret work instructions and safety rules

  • Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.

  • Able to lift 40 pounds consistently

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces

  • Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends

  • Ability to learn and accurately interact in SAP

  • Positive team player

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making ability

  Strongly preferred working knowledge and/or experience in:

  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics

  • Mechanical assemblies (gearboxes, drives etc)

  • Layout and fabrication – includes heli-arc, stick, and gas welding ability

  • Preventive maintenance and repair

  • Basic electrical knowledge (3 phase, breakers, schematic reading, etc.)
