      Job Summary/Description:

      We are looking for a skilled building maintenance technician to ensure KTUU-TV facilities are properly maintained. Assignments will include assisting the Building Operations Supervisor and the Engineering Department in maintenance and repairs, scheduling needed building/vehicle repairs, building and grounds maintenance, inventory, landscaping and snow removal, vehicle maintenance schedule, and assisting staff.

      Duties/Responsibilities include (but are limited to):

      · Clean and maintain the grounds; perform basic landscaping duties
      · Operate mowers, edgers, and trimmers to cut grass, load grass bags, and brush into dumpers
      · Rake leaves and trim hedges; prune shrubs and pull weeds
      · Shovel snow and salt when needed
      · Clear trash and snow from parking lots and walkways
      · Daily removal of trash from the building, grounds, and empty trash cans from offices and restrooms
      · Daily janitorial duties (i.e., vacuum, mop, wipe down bathrooms, lobby….)
      · Clean and maintain ground maintenance equipment, troubleshoot equipment, and perform minor repairs
      · Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of the buildings and equipment as needed [i.e,. light bulb replacement, paper dispenser installation, assembly of furniture, painting and touch-up, replacing of ceiling tiles, studio set construction, Lighting, etc.]
      · Assist with the delivery of packages from Shipping and Receiving to faculty and staff offices
      · Assist the Engineering Department when needed.
      · Assist in vehicle scheduled maintenance
      · Perform other related duties as required

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      · Ability to learn and adapt quickly to all work situations
      · Must be able to work varying hours and weekends
      · Professional, communicative, highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and focused individual traits
      · Strong leadership skills and ability to operate in high-pressure situations
      · High school diploma or equivalent
      · Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one. Not required, but a CDL is a plus
