We’re looking for people who are ready to grow through opportunity and build brilliance with us. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Foreman – Fixed Plant to join our team. This is a 3 year full-time expat position at our Simberi Operations in Papua New Guinea. The roster is 21 days on, 14 days off flying out of any Australian Capital City. Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance - Fixed Plant, you will ensure effective and responsive maintenance support to the Simberi Operations in order to safely achieve the equipment availability and asset utilisation essential for optimum process, mining and any other surface infrastructure within the operations. The opportunity * Ensuring that the Fixed Plant Maintenance function delivers to plan in respect of production, availability and cost per tonne * Maximising the throughput of ore delivered to the ROM, both for the RopeCon and the SAG Mill * Coordinating the installation, maintenance and repairing of all mechanical systems and equipment of the Process Plant and ensure minimal disruption to plant operations to avoid downtime * Identifying potential mechanical problems and implement effective preventative, predictive, and reliability maintenance and record these mechanical maintenance activities for subsequent technical reporting as required * Coordinating and lead by example to deal with breakdown repairs whenever required and show initiative in identifying opportunities to improve plant and machinery performance * Responsible for ensuring breakdowns are reported and escalated in a timely manner whilst on your call out rotation * Providing support and technical knowledge to the PNG national workforce * Coaching and mentoring PNG National Leaders to upskill into promoted positions Are you ready to come and build a brilliant future with us? You will use our values, along with our five commitments, to guide your decision making as you work for the safety and wellbeing of our people. * Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in the mining industry and FIFO roles * Exceptional communication skills.
