      POSITION SUMMARY

      Rooted in a rich railroad heritage, Hager City is one of our two factories in Wisconsin—located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing, Minnesota and about 250 miles from our location in Jefferson. Over 50 dedicated associates come together to produce wet and dry coatings for our pet food brands nationwide, making this location truly special. We also work to do our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.       As a Maintenance Intern, you will receive practical work experience to provide entry-level opportunities where you can nurture your technical skills in a manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to observe and participate in multiple projects. You will be paired with a Maintenance Technician to support your training and learning – they will also help connect the dots that exist between your technical education and the factory floor. This is important since our Maintenance Interns are enrolled students pursuing a degree or certificate in an electrical or mechanical type program, and who are able to work at least 16 hours per week as an intern. Upon successful completion of the internship, the Maintenance Intern is eligible for a Maintenance Technician position.

      • Mechanical support for the safe installation, assembly, and repair of machines, safety systems, mechanical drive mechanisms and associated parts
      • Provide support for fabrication of various metals and welding (mig, tig, AC/DC, torch, brazing, etc)
      • Support corporate and division Engineering and IT personnel with maintenance and installation of plant and corporate initiatives
      • Adhere to all Safety and Nestlé Purina manufacturing systems guidelines

      Requirements

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Attend Rochester Community and Technical College
      • Full time enrollment in a technical program for Fall 2025 semester pursuing a diploma or degree in Facility and Service Technology through the technical college

      The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.03. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
