Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for repairing electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical apparatus in our repair shop.

Responsibilities

• Repair electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical apparatus.
• Perform troubleshooting, assembly, and repair tasks using hand tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and service manuals.
• Provide field service support for mechanical equipment.
• Work with pneumatics and other mechanical systems.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical ability.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to identify parts needed for repairs from parts breakdowns.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers and dial calipers.
• Ability to use a volt meter.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Goal-oriented to meet individual and company key performance indicators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have own small hand tools.
• Able to lift 85lbs.
• High School Degree/GED required.
• Light rigging experience is a plus.
• Welding and oxy-acetylene torch experience is a plus.
• Light manual machining experience is a plus.
• Strong electrical/mechanical skillset desired.

Work Environment

The role is based in a service shop environment with a standard 8-hour shift from Monday through Friday, primarily during the 1st shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
