      REPORTS TO: Maintenance Scheduler

      FLSA STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

      SUPERVISES: NA

      Benefits

      • Salary range $70,000 to $90,000 base

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      The Maintenance Mechanical Planner is responsible for the planning of mechanical maintenance work throughout the facility utilizing established maintenance system processes and in accordance with established regulatory and workmanship standards.

      The essential functions include:

      • Create detailed job plans and preventative maintenance procedures

      • Coordinate the generation/update of required supporting drawings.

      • Write material requisitions and prepare/stage supporting materials.

      • Generate scopes of work for contracted services.

      • Act as Owner's Representative as required for contracted services.

      • Coordinate spare part repairs.

      • Coordinate machine/weld shop work with the shop supervisor.

      • Coordinate with department engineering staff for project support.

      • Participate in department safety training and initiatives.
      • Communicate with supported personnel regarding priorities and repair status.

      • Maintain required reports and data bases up to date and accurate
      • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations
      • This position has been determined to be a safety-sensitive position and requires a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen that includes marijuana.

      Qualifications

      EDUCATION:

      A two-year degree (technical field) or higher is preferred or equivalent work experience will be considered.

      EXPERIENCE

      This individual will possess:

      • Excellent problem solving skills

      • PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.

      • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.

      • Proven ability to work in teams.

      • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

      • Familiarity with CMMS software (MAXIMO) preferred.

      • Maintenance department experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      • Approximately 60% of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions, 40% of the job function is required in the plant. There is exposure to operating machinery in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
