      Description

      JOB SUMMARY:

      The Maintenance Parts Clerk is responsible for ordering, sorting, and stocking parts and supplies for production equipment by managing orders electronically.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Take ownership of maintenance cage area including all aspects of ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventorying
      • Ability to identify, stock, and track all parts and materials so that sufficient inventory is always on hand to maintain production without interruption
      • Proficient at all modules of a maintenance management system
      • Ability to review inventory annually based on direction of leadership and system trends
      • Ability to understand material flow and the ordering process
      • Proactively research vendors to find the best service and prices for items purchased
      • Follow up with vendors to assure timely delivery, tracking information, and communicate to leadership during weekly Engineering and Maintenance Meetings
      • Working with Vendors while onsite to ensure work was completed properly and safety rules followed.
      • Responsible for maintaining, storing, and appropriately disposing of hazardous waste
      • Display, encourage and maintain a professional work environment through the timely completion of projects, respectful communication, utilizing teamwork, integrity, accountability, and excellence
      • Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping in area
      • Understand and identify parts to assists techs when parts are needed
      • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Required Skills and Abilities:

      • Ability to interpret documents, receipts, and reports
      • Self-motivating work ethic
      • Strong computer knowledge. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Etc. (Word, Excel, Power Point, Oracle )
      • Detail oriented with ability to track and complete necessary tasks in a timely manner utilizing schedules/checklists
      • Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure

      Required Education and Experience:

      • High school diploma or G.E.D.

      Required Physical Ability:

      • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
      • Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
      • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb

      WORKING CONDITIONS:

      • Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
      • Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and ear protection
      • Uniform provided.
      • The noise level is usually moderate to high
      • Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
